LG announces G Pad 10 1 8 0 and 7 0s specifications and other information



LG Corporation, who was also formerly known as Lucky Goldstar had announced three new slates in the past month, from their G Pad series of tablets. Following its announcement back in May, today the South Korean consumer electronics manufacturing company has issued a new Press Release including the specifications listing and the availability information.

The new slates from LG is said to pack the right balance of entertainment and performance, keeping it fit in the right price tag between both entry level and premium slates from the market. The rounded edges of the slates will be convenient and comfortable to use in hands.

"LG understands that people have different needs and we wanted to provide consumers with a range of options in size, looks, and attractive price points that included the best of LG’s core technologies. With our latest tablets, LG is giving consumers options to find a device that best fits their lifestyle and needs," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

In term of the specs are concerned, the G Pad 10.1 will feature a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor, 10.1-inches WXGA screen panel of 1280 x 800 resolution display, 16 gigabytes of eMMC expandable internal storage, one gigabyte of Random Access Memory, five megapixels main camera on the back with a 1.3 megapixels front facing snapper and a huge 8,000mAh powered battery. The slate will be available in Black and Red color options, measuring at 260.9 x 165.9 x 8.9 millimeters in dimensions and weighs 523 grams on mass.

The new LG G Pad 8.0 will come out of the box with the same 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor, eight-inches WXGA screen of 1280 x 800 resolution display, 16 gigabytes of eMMC Read Only Memory with one gigabyte of Random Access Memory, there is also that five megapixels main lens on the back with a 1.3 megapixels secondary front facer, 4,200mAh powered battery and the tablet will be available in White, Luminous Orange and Luminous Blue, and is measured at 210.8 x 124.2 x 9.9 millimeters, which is slightly less heavier than the G Pad 10.1 at 342 grams.

Finally, the smallest from the fleet, the G Pad 7.0 will too sport the 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor, a smaller seven-inches WXGA screen of the same resolution at 1280 x 800, eight gigabytes of eMMC internal mass storage with one giga RAM, three megapixels main sensor, 1.3 megapixels front facing camera and a 4,000mAh powered battery, All the three slates will have WiFi for connectivity with Androids version 4.4 KitKat, topped with LGs own UX and other proprietary features like QPair 2.0, Smart Keyboard, Dual Window and Knock Code. This one will also be available in White, Luminous Orange and Luminous Blue colors, measured at 189.3 x 113.8 x 10.1 millimeters and weighs only 293 in grams.

And for the availability, according to LG, they will start the roll out of G Pad 7.0 in the European region, this week, followed by the G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1 in the coming weeks of the month. Other additional details and pricing information is not disclosed at the moment, which is read to be announced locally.
